Content Designer – Prequel app (middle)

Prequel (https://prequel.app/) is a mobile app that brings the magic of film retro, cinematic, and modern aesthetics to your photos and videos. With a suite of powerful filters and editing tools, we help creators tell their stories in style.

We're looking for a Content Designer who will become the heart of our in-app Discover section – the first screen our users see. This role is for a visual storyteller with a keen eye for trends and a passion for creating stunning, on-brand content. You'll be responsible for crafting the visual experience that inspires millions of users daily, from creating presets to launching seasonal campaigns ⛄️

• Create high-quality posts and banners weekly for the Prequel Discover feed.
• Develop new photo/video presets by combining Prequel's filters and effects.
• Design banners and static visuals based on requirements.
• Basic video editing and compositing in After Effects.
• Research visual trends on TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, VSCO, etc.
• Participate in brainstorming new effects and filters for the app.
• Actively contribute to seasonal campaigns (e.g., Valentine's Day, Halloween).

• A strong visual aesthetic and understanding of Prequel style (film retro / cinematic / modern IG aesthetics).
• ~2 years of experience as a Designer with a strong visual portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma and Photoshop (retouching, color grading).
• Proactivity and a self-starter attitude: a desire to seek new ideas and go slightly beyond assigned tasks.
• Accuracy and attention to detail (crops, alignments, typography).
• Speed and adaptability: comfort with frequent iterations and quick turnaround for edits.

Nice-to-have

• Basic skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Experience with AI image generation tools (we use Higgsfield).
• Experience working with 9:16 mobile visuals.
• Previous experience in a mobile app environment.
