Senior Product Manager – Prequel (Core)

We're looking for a Product Manager who will own the Value Creation stream at Prequel https://prequel.app/ – a fast-growing photo & video editing app on a mission to help users express themselves creatively.

You'll work at the intersection of content, AI, experimentation, and subscription monetization.

Responsibilities

  • Own Value Creation stream: retention, activation, engagement, and conversion to active paying users. Every decision ties to product and business metrics.
  • Own content stream: set goals for the content team, manage content ranking and recommendations, measure content quality and performance, turn observations into product decisions.
  • Drive discovery: conduct deep user interviews, find JTBD, problems, and insights – then prioritize what matters.
  • Lead experimentation: design and launch A/B tests, know when a test is needed (and when it's not), make clear calls on roll-out / roll-back / iterate.
  • Prioritize roadmap by impact on key metrics, align with monetization and growth streams.
  • Interpret product metrics in terms of real user behavior, not numbers for the sake of numbers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Product Management for B2C mobile apps.
  • Experience with content-driven products or strong content component – ranking, recommendations, measuring content quality.
  • Experience with subscription monetization – understanding how value creation drives retention, LTV, ARPPU.
  • Solid A/B testing track record: ability to formulate hypotheses, design tests correctly, and apply stopping rules. Understanding of when an A/B test is needed (and when it is not).
  • User research & discovery skills: ability to conduct interviews and turn observations into actionable insights and product decisions.
  • Ability to leverage AI in daily workflow – for research, feedback processing, hypothesis generation, prototyping, and PRD writing. Understanding of LLM strengths and limitations.
  • Product mindset: focus on impact, not on closed tickets.
  • Required languages: English, Russian.
